It was a big weekend for Miss Elayna but event #1 involved pizza, play-date with her friend Isabelle, and CINDERELLA!! Woo-hoo!
E and I went to a special event at the Playfactory with Cinderella as the guest of honor. Along with a million other little girls, E was able to give her hugs, and Cinderella even sang a few songs. It was fairly impressive and a very fun evening for a princess-obsessed fan!
Turning 5 is a big deal – no matter how you look at it!! Elayna took the occasion very seriously. She wanted a school party, a family party, and a Pump-it-up party with friends – all culminating in a several day long exhausting celebration! She’s a blessed girl!
Perhaps all this partying exhausted me so much that it took a month to finally post some pictures…
School party: I had lunch with her in the lunch room then brought her friends cupcakes. She was very proud!!
Family Party: We ordered pizza, had a water balloon fight, and celebrated with Aunt Licia and Mr. Brian.
And Pump-it-Up with her friends: Pump-it-up is a big bouncy house warehouse. The kids love it and it has been the prime birthday party spot for most of her class. Not very original but at least she had a blast and I had very little work to do!!
Ugh…. the cake!! Elayna wanted a rainbow cake so I attempted one with Angel food and colored icing. Not the prettiest thing ever but she seemed to like it and maybe I won some mommy points….

Last night was our church’s annual Daddy Daughter Dance. This year was a luau and Elayna was extremely excited to spend an evening with just her dad! No Mom allowed!!
They both came home last night exhausted and happy. They danced, they took pictures, they were silly with their friends. I think they both had a GREAT time together.
Elayna and I spent the last week of March visiting my family in Montana. It was Elayna’s first official Spring Break and she had a BLAST spending time with her Grandparents and exploring the ranch.
We were extremely fortunate to coincide our visit with Easter and to be joined by my sister Alicia and my brother Nathan. Nate also brought his girlfriend Sara from Iowa and we loved getting to know her and show her around.

Baking with Grandma Missy and tending the coffee shop in Townsend. [a customer gave Elayna a stuffed animal in the drive through. Apparently she’s such a good barista, she’s already getting tips!]
Easter Egg Hunt at the Big Sky Care facility in Helena. My Grandma Rubie has been recovering from there and we were able to visit with her several times. The Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday was particularly cute!!
