Happy Birthday to Aaron! I hope Aaron had a great day with a nice visit from Jerry and Carol and lots of love.
As a special treat, Aaron bought Elayna a present (yes, E gets all the spoiling regardless of whose day it is…): a shiny new bike!!
E is in love. She says she’ll be the fastest rider in the world and has mastered pedaling in no time. She does not have much stamina and has difficulty going far up-hill, but has ridden every day so far. She is very proud of her new bike.
With the house up and progressing quickly, we’re enjoying a lot of visitors and opportunities to show off. Last weekend, Linda Litle spent a nice lunch with us and we toured the building site. This weekend, Jerry and Carol were in town for Aaron’s birthday, and we happily showed them around.
The dry-wall should start any-day so they are busily adding insulation to the exterior walls. The insulation is the disgusting powdery gray fluff and poor Elayna is fascinated by it (although she’s really good about not touching it).
All in all not too bad – particularly considering THIS was the garage on September 20th!!
Good thing they made us pre-order portraits… She is a cutie though – even with a stiff smile.
I know its been a while since we’ve taken an official ‘bear’ picture. Poor bear has been a bit neglected considering he’s Elayna’s oldest friend.
We have scheduled our first house inspection for this Friday – which means the building crew is under-the-gun to weather seal our home in the next week.
The exterior insulation is going up; teams are prepping the roof for tiles. And the plumbing and electrical are in.
We stopped by the housing site on our way back from camping to find a HOUSE. The exterior framing is almost complete and interior walls are in place. We have a staircase and upper level (although I was afraid to walk around up there). There were dramatic changes in just a few days.
