Last Day of Pre-Kindergarten

 

We now officially have a Kindergartener in our house!  Elayna has learned so much this year and really grown in confidence and knowledge.  A few things new skills:

• Elayna can now write her own name
• She knows her numbers and most of the alphabet
• She knows a few sight words – ‘A’, ‘On’, ‘The’, ‘Of’
• She learned about Presidents, Martin Luther King, oceans, jungles
• She works to be responsible, kind, and positive
• She can brush her own hair, dress herself, and likes showers

We will miss many of the friends she has made this year – she was at a great school with a lot of great kids.  I will not miss the commute over there every day and am looking forward to her moving to the school closer to our house.

 

Happy Mother’s Day to Me

Elayna’s class hosted a Mother’s Day tea with lovely songs, art project, and snacks.  I loved it!!

Annabelle’s Bday Party

Annabelle Hagan is one of Elayna’s oldest friend and we had so much fun celebrating her 7th birthday party with her!  To add to the excitement, Annabelle’s party was at a horse ranch complete with horse rides and a petting zoo!  Sooooo fun!

 

 

Cinderella Dinner

It was a big weekend for Miss Elayna but event #1 involved pizza, play-date with her friend Isabelle, and CINDERELLA!!  Woo-hoo!

E and I went to a special event at the Playfactory with Cinderella as the guest of honor.  Along with a million other little girls, E was able to give her hugs, and Cinderella even sang a few songs.  It was fairly impressive and a very fun evening for a princess-obsessed fan!

 

 

 

Happy 5th Birthday!

Turning 5 is a big deal – no matter how you look at it!!  Elayna took the occasion very seriously.  She wanted a school party, a family party, and a Pump-it-up party with friends – all culminating in a several day long exhausting celebration!  She’s a blessed girl!

Perhaps all this partying exhausted me so much that it took a month to finally post some pictures…

School party:  I had lunch with her in the lunch room then brought her friends cupcakes.  She was very proud!!

Family Party:  We ordered pizza, had a water balloon fight, and celebrated with Aunt Licia and Mr. Brian. 

 

And Pump-it-Up with her friends:  Pump-it-up is a big bouncy house warehouse.  The kids love it and it has been the prime birthday party spot for most of her class.  Not very original but at least she had a blast and I had very little work to do!!

 

 

 

 

Ugh…. the cake!!  Elayna wanted a rainbow cake so I attempted one with Angel food and colored icing.  Not the prettiest thing ever but she seemed to like it and maybe I won some mommy points….

A very successful birthday and a very happy girl!!  Thanks to everyone for the love!
